If you were at the Matlock Rec Centre on Sept 19th, you will have enjoyed a terrific show put on by the Sisters of the Holy Rock. Don't let the name fool you. The "Sisters" are big on fun and small on religion. A good time was had by all. A few pics to remind us until next time ...

Yes, it's that time of year again! Christmas is just around the corner, and we've got two seasonal events to share with you.   Breakfast with Santa  will be held this year on Dec 06, 2014 from 9:00-11:00 a.m.  All children 13 years and under are welcome. There will be a silver collection at the door. The annual Matlock Recreation Club Christmas Dinner and Dance will be held this year on Dec 13, 2014. Cocktails 5:30 p.m.  Dinner at 6:00 p.m. Tickets $ 25 for members; $ 27.50 for non members. There will be a Silent Auction. Contact Doug Newberry at 204-389-3182 or any MRC Board Member for tickets. Matlock loses a wonderfully warm resident

It is with sadness that we say goodbye to Marjorie (Marj, Margie) Meisner, who passed away suddenly in her home on Monday, March 27, 2017. Marjorie will be missed by husband Ron, and everyone who knew her. She always had a smile for everyone she encountered. Marjorie (on the right) playing the ukulele. Marjorie is best known for her musical talents. She loved to sing, and played the guitar, the tin whistle, and the ukulele--probably others, as Marjorie's life was greatly enhanced by her musical connections. A photo the Matlock Ukulele Club entertaining some guests at the Matlock Rec Club in December, 2016. Marjorie is shown in the pink sweater on the left. Marjorie loved to gather with friends and was a member of the informal music group that meets at the Matlock Rec Club. Do give Ron Meisner a hug when you see him.
